10.12.15 Reminders

When practising on the course use the white tee markers, not the blues

·         Practise using maximum 2 balls except in designated practice areas

·         All players must report to the Pro Shop before practicing on the course, and refrain from walking onto the 2nd for this purpose

·         Always give way to Greens staff

·         When using carts be mindful not to drive close to greens, stay off tees and avoid damage to the course at all cost – especially in wet conditions

·         The correct way to take a preferred lie is to mark your ball first, then place within 30cm, no nearer the hole

·         Rake bunkers, repair divots and pitch marks and replace the flag into the hole straight up

·         Avoid slow play by keeping up with the group in front and not ahead of the group behind. The low marker in your group is responsible for maintaining the correct pace

·         When playing in 2 ball events:

o   Register with the Pro Shop staff which pairs are playing together before hitting off the first

o   A 2 ball cannot participate in a 4 ball event

o   In the case of a 3 ball the lowest marker MUST be the swinger

If a ball ends up Out-Of-Bounds (OOB), or is headed towards OOB, play a provisional ball in the interest of speeding up play. (NOTE: The rules of golf prevent the playing of a provisional ball when a ball enters a water hazard or lateral hazard.)

·         Whenever a ball is hit into an area (other than OOB or a Hazard), where it may potentially be lost, such as bush, trees and rough anywhere on the course including the agapanthus LHS of 13th hole and adjacent to the 17th tee, then, in the interest of speeding up play, hit a provisional ball.
